Born among ten siblings on Chicago's Southside to a Montanan nurse and a corn factory foreman. Arrived alone in NYC in 1972, still in her teens, settled in East Village. Traveled and wrote in Culebra, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, and Mexico. Taught children in NYC for thirty years. Books of poetry include Zoop (Owl Press, 2001); Reticular Pop-Ups (Insurance Editions, 2004); Blasting through a Hole in the Universe (Green Zone Editions, 2009), Kit Carson (Tent Editions, 2017) and Acme Rubbers (Insurance Editions, 2018).
