French, late 19th century painted textile pattern study in gouache on paper. Finely painted flowers in earth tones—pinks, terracottas, and tans—are handsomely set against matte brown ground. An accidentally minimalist composition by a now anonymous designer.

This piece is newly framed and floated to a cotton rag mat with UV filtering glass, housed in a bespoke hand-painted pale grey frame. In good condition with light surface imperfections consistent with age.
