"Gentill Femme Perrotte Franque" is a 1612 hand-colored engraving from "L'histoire de la décadence de l'Empire grec et établissement de celuy des Turcs" by Chalcondyle with illustrations after Nicolas Nicolay. Strong impression on off-white laid paper.

This rare print is housed in an exquisite gilded Art Nouveau frame with swept corners that echo the veil of the woman depicted.

Archivally framed with an 8-ply mat and UV glazing.

Condition: Minor separation at frame corners. Repair at the top right margin of the paper.
